The Comedy of Errors

When: May 24-June 1 2013
Price: $15

Shakespeare said that all the world's a stage, but what if he'd claimed that all the world's a circus? This is sort of the gimmick for Raleigh Little Theatre and Bare Naked's co-production of The Comedy of Errors, in collaboration with Cirque de Vol Studios. Here, Shakespeare's early mistaken-identity farce is re-imagined at an old-fashioned circus, staged at Raleigh Little Theatre's outdoor amphitheater by the Rose Garden. Amid the slapstick tale of two sets of identical twin brothers separated at birth, jugglers, trapeze artists and fire eaters will take the stage. Bring a picnic or grab a snack from the food trucks. Cirque de Vol will provide pre-show circus entertainment 30 minutes before the performance. —Emma Miller
