The Clothesline Muse

The Clothesline Muse, a musical theater work by Durham jazz vocalist Nnenna Freelon and several of her family members, has been accepted to the National Black Theater Festival in Winston-Salem. A fundraiser at a downtown office space (7 to 9 p.m., July 31) features musical appearances by Freelon and others, a dance performance and more. Admission is free but donations are requested. 112 W.
