The Clarks, The Roman Spring

When: Fri., March 20, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $15-$18
Long-running college favorites The Clarks resurfaced last year with Feathers & Bones thanks to a crowdsourcing campaign that more than tripled its goal, proving that the Pittsburgh quartet had lost few followers in the five years since their last record. The LP sticks to the heartland rock familiar from The Clarks’ three-decade career. They balance upbeat numbers like “Nothing Good Happens After Midnight” with more mature numbers like “Broken Dove,” inspired by the loss of frontman Scott Blasey’s father. —Spencer Griffith
