The Circus of the Possibilitarians

When: Fri., March 1, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $10-14

Vermont's Bread & Puppet Theater emerged from Vietnam anti-war protests in the 1960s, at which the troupe's giant satirical body puppets became a visual fixture at demonstrations along the East Coast. If you remember Uncle Sam on stilts, you remember Bread & Puppets. The theater is a respectable nonprofit these days, bringing politically themed but family-friendly slapstick street theater to venues across America. The Circus of the Possibilitarians is being billed as a satirical horse and butterfly circus with rotten ideas, a wild dancing horse and a saxophone ballet. Remember, parents: It's never too early to radicalize the kids. —Glenn McDonald
