The Cardinal Faults, Subculture Danger

When: Sun., Aug. 19, 7:30 p.m. 2012
Price: $5

The Cardinal Faults' June EP shows a young band interested in stretching electric blues a bit—upping a light prog edge here, adding punch and sparkle there. One lineup change later and The Cardinal Faults have gone totally acoustic, meaning they're still very much a band interested in stretching those limits. The sociopolitical ska-punk of Subculture Danger shares the bill. It's worth noting that The Cave is one of a handful of venues (the Nightlight is another) to open its stage to high school-age bands. All-ages shows are cool and all, but moving teens from the crowd to the stage takes initiative. —Corbie Hill
