The Bronzed Chorus, Revisionist

When: Fri., July 5, 9:30 p.m. 2013
Price: $6

The Bronzed Chorus is Adam Joyce and Hunter Allen, nominally a Greensboro guitar-and-drums pair that makes filmic instrumental music. But the best songs that Joyce and Allen create are their own movies, with rising action and shifting scenery and sharp exits encapsulated with five minutes or so. The phrase post-rock suggests that they're beyond being a rock band, somehow over it, but The Bronzed Chorus is only a rock band without words, able to translate energy and emotion without the semaphore of lyrics. With Revisionist. —Grayson Currin
