The Brementown Musicians

When: May 3-19 2013
Price: $10-15

Based on the Brothers Grimm folk tale, this musical adaptation of The Brementown Musicians tells the story of an aging, talking, German donkey named Donny who sets off to follow his dream of becoming a famous musician after his farmer-owner decides Donny is past his usefulness. OK, so it's not exactly highbrow theater, but the kids will love it. And like those clever folks at Pixar, writers Allison Gregory and Hummie Mann have sprinkled jokes for grownups throughout the script. Raleigh Little Theatre presents the show as part of its Youth Series.—Emma Miller
