The Bleeding Hearts

When: Sat., Oct. 25, 11 p.m. 2014
The Bleeding Hearts are on a scavenger hunt for the eternal Saturday night. Though the subjects don’t always hew to the carefree weekends and romantic mayhem of one’s 20s, the music does. The buzz of guitars (more Jolt Cola than “White Light/White Heat”), grappling melodies and straight rhythms are as inviting as a blown kiss. Their Tuesday show in Raleigh also features Paul Collins’ Beat, the canny, still-active offshoot of Los Angeles power-pop icons the Nerves. —Chris Parker
