Re: “The Great Wall of Durham: Triangle Transit to address concerns about downtown light-rail design

The link to the DAD workshop presentation no longer works. It just bounces to the home page of indyweek.com. Can you please repost the PDF? Thanks!

Re: “Will Durham gamble $1 million on annexing 751 South?

@Will - Good proposal, but it ignores the big elephant lurking in the back of the room. Given the history of shenanigans on the project (moving the watershed boundary based on a privately-controlled survey, undercutting the protest petition with a last-minute "donation" of a sliver of land to an unaware NCDOT, etc, etc), it's clear that certain members of the Board of County Commissioners must have had some other motivation for exposing the county to this much legal jeopardy. Any ideas what that reason might be? Hmmm?

And now, we must wonder to ourselves whether certain members of the City Council, in seriously considering a blatantly preposterous proposal (agreeing to provide utilities to a piece of land that may not be annexed, while said annexation is also under legal jeopardy), must have now also been exposed to the same "convincing arguments".

That's right, if you listen carefully, you can JUST make out the distinct "ka-ching" of the campaign donation cash registers ringing...

Just my humble opinion...
