Tar Heel Clickers

When: Sat., Oct. 30, 12:30 p.m. 2010
Price: Free

Clogging adds a beat to old-time music often bereft of percussion. Like an earthy, synchronized tap, clogging is the state folk dance of North Carolina. And there's no time like this afternoon to feel a little state pride as the Tar Heels take on William & Mary at Kenan Stadium. (Virginia's state dance? The square dance.) Led by Chapel Hill alums and Cane Creek Cloggers Aaron and Megan Ratcliffe, the Tar Heel Clickers host a pregame of sorts in the University Mall parking lot, sponsored by The ArtsCenter. Enjoy a little shuffling flatfoot or stomping buck dance before making your way up Franklin Street. The free show begins at 12:30 p.m. —Andrew Ritchey
