New York-meets-Ohio group Tanya Morgan landed one of the most convincing tributes on the Mick Boogie and Terry Urban endorsed Le Da Soul: 20 Years of De La Soul, with their interpolation of "Breakadawn," from De La's third, Buhloone Mindstate. Heroes aside, Tanya Morgan's catalog holds its own weight. Brooklynati—which featured North Carolina's Phonte Coleman and Carlitta Durand—was a commanding effort. Two of the group's members also have issued solo projects: Donwill's Laura's Tape mended hearts, while Von Pea's Pea's Gotta Have It LP was heavy but largely ignored. If you miss the idea of a great rap trio, raise your hand! OK, now put it down and pay $10 at 10 p.m., with Mixed Solution and Mic Savvy also on the bill. —Eric Tullis
