Tannahill Weavers

When: Sat., March 28, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $16-$24
Since 1968, Scotland’s Tannahill Weavers have performed traditional Highland music, modernized and rejuvenated thanks to their own compositions. The quartet still serves a fiery Celtic presentation by combining folk songs, lullabies and ballads. The band also demonstrates a sly sense of humor with their between-song tales of Scottish rogues and misdeeds, bolstered by Tannahill piper Lorne Macdougall, whose side project Red Hot Chili Pipers takes on tunes from Queen to Avicii. —Grant Britt
