Re: “Will a Raleigh Jury’s $50 Million Verdict Against Murphy-Brown LLC Force Big Pork to Clean Up Its Act?

It isn't just the smell. That absolutely assaults your senses but the horrific cruelty should too. These animals are so tortured. The living conditions and treatment of sentient beings is grotesque and shameful. Everyone still eating flesh is complicit in this torture.

Re: “What About the Pigs?

Thank you Ellen, I am proud to know you. Your passion for the animals is awe-inspiring. Thank you Jessica, for speaking out and caring about these sensitive, intelligent animals. With so many suffering, humans and animals alike, isn't it time to let animal agriculture be a thing of the past? There is no reason but pure selfishness to continue to eat animals, to continue to destroy the lives of poor people that live next to the cafo's. Most people would be incensed if their property values were destroyed due to their neighbors. We pass laws to protect the polluting corporate farms instead of protecting our citizens. Shame on North Carolina.
