Sweet Charity!

When: Sept. 13-30 2012
You may think it difficult to find something in common between the current White House race and a taxi dancer named Charity, but it's a bridge of hope that links them. Whether it's a disastrous economy or a lifelong streak of uncommonly bad luck, optimism in the mirror pulls you through, and Charity has a funhouse full of it. The award-winning Neil Simon/ Bob Fosse musical birthed "Big Spender" and "If My Friends Could See Me Now," and Sweet Charity! reminds us to dream big, hoof hard and search for silver linings. —Christina Cass
