Improv is creepy enough already, right? Well, what if improv weren't geared toward comedy but drama—specifically, science fiction, fantasy and horror? Transactors Improv's longtime motto is, "If you laugh, we're doing comedy; if you don't, we're doing drama." But tonight's challenge is to not only avoid bad laughs but to make it scary. Accordingly, they will take you into a very, very weird world with Suspense!, their second annual homage to fear and terror in the tradition of Alfred Hitchcock.

"Transactors' work focuses on emotion," says company director Greg Hohn in a news release. "But in all our years of doing improv, we'd never tried focusing on feelings like fear and suspense until [last year's show]."

Based on audience suggestions, different sketches will involve such genres as mystery, noir and science fiction. Adding to the effects will be live music from Killer Filler. —Zack Smith
