Sugar Ray, Better Than Ezra, Uncle Kracker, Eve 6

When: Fri., Aug. 28, 7 p.m. 2015
Price: $25-$55
Who ever expected that Eve 6, or the band whose “Inside Out” still sticks around like a nostalgic cobweb, would emerge with their dignity for a ’90s retrospective package tour? They had some help: Early in the summer, Uncle Ezra Ray—yep, a “supergroup” with Uncle Kracker and the frontmen of Better Than Ezra and Sugar Ray—released “B.Y.H.B.,” or “Bring Your Hot Body.” Backed by electric guitars and cheap beats, a tawdry hook and some bad raps fit for bro country, the would-be summer anthem is more prone to produce agoraphobia than actual parties. I’m sure no one will be desperately wanting those bands, who share this Under the Sun Tour, to render that punishment live. —Grayson Haver Currin
