Re: “More hot water for Harris

At what point did "concerned citizens" and the media become INFORMED on the complex issues of the function and regulation of commercial nuclear power? Your article has several amazing segues from "security" cheating issues to fire safety. Do any of you know the difference between the two issues? Can't you summon up enough literary capability to address each of the very separate issues knowledgably and fairly? I've worked in radiation protection in commercial nuclear power for 18 years and am degreed. I DO NOT WORK FOR PROGRESS ENERGY. I find it appalling that an "indy" newspaper in an area professing to be filled with intellingent and apparently self-possessed people can't tell the difference between and independent opinion and the bored rantings of someone with no understanding of the technical world. Consequently, the local populace will continue to build countless developments and move the masses in with no conceivable replacement for the power demands that would increase without Harris. See how the self righteous rich and pseudo-environmentalists like rotating brown-outs. Thank you for your time and forum.
