Re: “Raleigh’s New Airbnb Rules Won’t Let You Rent Out Your Whole House

Whole house rentals when offered on an on-going basis are really just Vacation Rentals. Owners do it to make more money renting short-term than long-term (month-to-month). Vacation Rentals have been popular and heavily regulated for years in Resort Destinations. What's new are "urban Vacation Rentals". These need to be regulated much more airbnb "Private Room" rentals because no host is present to monitor the property and guests and deal with problems that come up.
