Why wouldn't progressives take this compromise? HB2 is about far more than restroom usage. A repeal of Charlotte ordinance would give the Republican legislature the political room to maneuver a repeal of HB2. This would correct the minimum wage power grab and restore judicial remediation rights to LGBTG community. More, the schools would be able to use Dept of Justice recommendations until such time the matter is decided in courts.

Pardon me, but this is a great political compromise and will hopefully result in Mecklenburg and Wake being back in the running for some of these high paying corporations who've been going elsewhere. How many jobs are we willing to lose to make this an election issue? How much of our nose are we willing to cut off to spite our face?

This is a good compromise where progressives get almost everything they asked for. We should take the deal.
