Re: “Hands off triclosan

Encourage manufacturers to switch to Tinosan SDC, an all natural replacement for Triclosan consisting of silver and silver citrate also known as SDC "silver dihydrogen citrate." It is basically silver ions stabilized by citric acid (found in orange juice, lemon juice). It is completely non-toxic to humans (safe to drink even), plants, and animals but lethal to single celled organisms like bacteria, fungus and viruses. It lasts for years on the shelf but quickly breaks down in the environment.

Triclosan is toxic to humans and animals and lasts for years in rivers and streams.
