SOHN, Wet | Cat's Cradle | Clubs & Concerts | Indy Week
This is a past event.

SOHN, Wet

When: Sun., Nov. 2, 9 p.m. 2014
Price: $12-$14
Like James Blake and How to Dress Well’s Tom Krell, SOHN, or Christopher Taylor, works simultaneously as a singer, songwriter, producer, arranger and performer. That’s not the only split apparent in his music, though. He vacillates between arty, abstract pop that recalls the supergroup 13 & God, the lithe club hits of Justin Timberlake, and the refracted falsetto flutter of Blake himself. While it sounds like an intriguing mix, SOHN is a master of nothing, hitting few of those hallmarks and surpassing none. His debut LP, Tremors, is like a workout mix, but only for the walk to the gym. —Grayson Haver Currin
