So & So Reading Series

When: Sat., Oct. 20, 8 p.m. 2012

The So & So Reading Series, curated by N.C. State's Chris Tonelli, maintains a busy monthly schedule. This month, Christopher Janke, Michelle Naka Pierce, Chris Pusateri and Betsy Wheeler read. Massachusetts-based Janke writes poems and objects into equivalence in his ongoing "of the of of the of" series. Pierce directs and teaches at the writing and poetics school at Naropa University in Boulder, Colo., and won the 2012 Poets Out Loud editor's prize for her fourth book, Continuous Frieze Bordering [Red]. In nearby Denver, Pusateri runs the Belmar Film Series and tightens lyrics into attention to their own language. Wheeler is managing director of the Juniper Summer Writing Institute at the University of Massachusetts and was runner-up for the National Poetry Review's Book Prize with her 2012 book Loud Dreaming in a Quiet Room. The event begins at 8 p.m. at Morning Times Café. —Chris Vitiello
