KENNEDY THEATRE—Just how bloodthirsty is the general public? Ask big-game hunter Walter Palmer, provided you can find him. Thrillers sell tickets, and though a number of them make regular local appearances, the two most accomplished murder mysteries of the last half-century—Ira Levin's Deathtrap and Anthony Shaffer's Sleuth—are rarer guests by far. The latter's a who'll-do-it, not a whodunit: a devious little puzzle with as many bluffs and switchbacks as a Blue Ridge Parkway drive. An accomplished mystery novelist cat-and-mouses with his wife's paramour, who turns out to be a lover of mysteries with an equally vivid imagination. John McIlwee directs Michael Brocki and Jesse Gephart in this Theatre Raleigh production. 8 p.m. Weds.–Sat.; 2 p.m. Sat.; 3 p.m. Sun., $25–$27, 2 E. South St., Raleigh,
