Skram!

Well-built unusual furniture

Raised in Indiana, Jacob Marks studied history at the Colorado College before moving to San Francisco, where he taught himself to design and build furniture.

In 2001, Marks relocated to North Carolina and founded Skram Furniture Company. With an emphasis on innovative limited production and custom designs for residential or commercial use, Skram builds according to the principle that enduring design is nothing without sound construction practices. The firm's products, rooted in traditional furniture-making techniques, are crafted with deliberation and care, making them eager for a lifetime of everyday use. 412-0260 for information.
