Fitz Brundage & Adam Domby discuss the memorial to UNC students who fought for the Confederacy, including the original impulse behind the monument, the role of the university community in its erection & its evolution as an icon. With poetry reading from Chapel Hill community activists Will McInerney & CJ Suitt, plus viewing of Silent Sam exhibit from the library's collection.
