Signal Fire, Jah Works, Eastern Standard Time

When: Sat., Aug. 20, 9:30 p.m. 2016
Price: $7-$10
What is it about Wilmington that churns out innumerable bands that confuse third-rate, white-bread roots-rock-reggae with the good stuff that came out of Kingston in the sixties? Signal Fire is about as close to reggae as a tricolored, eleven-by-seventeen-inch poster of Bob Marley, but its boring, baldhead, bombaclat music nonetheless seems perpetually popular with affluent stoner kids. Jah works in mysterious ways. —Patrick Wall
