Shaggy, R. City, Iyaz

When: Thu., Oct. 15, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $25
Earlier this year, I saw Shaggy as part of a local radio station’s Summer Jam. He played his hits, including the quasi-apologetic “It Wasn’t Me” and the syrupy “Angel.” But the part of his set that induced the most euphoria was the spirited “Go Fuck Yourself,” a “Take This Job and Shove It” for the YouTube era. I didn’t even have a full-time gig at the time, and the song’s thump and hoot made me want to pen a rancorous resignation. —Maura Johnston
