Stephanie McCarthy, while I agree with your angst about the term, "sex change" I find it odd that you follow it in your comment using the term, "transgendered." You are transgendered? Is your sexual orientation then homosexualed, straited, bisexualed, or othered? And then you state, "...whereas the term 'sex change' insinuates she had gender reassignment surgery." Now however can a sex change insinuate gender reassignment? Gender is between ones ears and sex is between ones legs. A sex change then will change what's between ones legs, not their gender. How would gender reassignment surgery work exactly? Would they split ones skull open and tinker with ones brain until the individual's gender changed? The horrors!
