Sebadoh, Qui

When: Mon., March 23, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $13-$15
Saying Sebadoh is a slam-dunk as a classic rock band won’t elicit universal agreement, but Sebadoh has had an enormous impact within indie rock. Founder Lou Barlow and there-from-near-the-start member Jason Lowenstein have been working together since the late ’80s, and their rough-edged way around guitar rock helped cement the image of home recording and “lo-fi” years before current avatar Bon Iver was even making music. Their last release, Defend Yourself, is a couple of years old, so it wouldn’t be surprising if a slew of new songs get featured at this show, even as people call for standards like “Flame,” “Gimme Indie Rock” and “Soul and Fire.”—Ned Raggett
