Scratch Acid

When: Wed., Nov. 2, 9 p.m. 2011
Price: $16-18

Everybody's doing it, so why not Scratch Acid? The group most famous for giving the world one half of the recently reunited Jesus Lizard had a brief nostalgic fling back in 2006, centering on the 25th anniversary of the esteemed, and late, post-punk institution Touch and Go Records. This time around, they're doing a proper coast-to-coast tour. Even if they're only offering up quarter-century-old nuggets from an all-too-shallow discography, a chance to see a dignified and older David Yow do his psycho carnival barker thing in front of some hell-bound country-fried noise doesn't come along that often. —David Raposa
