Sacrificial Poets Touchstone Open Mic

When: Wed., Jan. 2, 6:30 p.m. 2013
Price: Free

2012 was a huge year for the Sacrificial Poets, as the 2011 Indies Arts Award winners brought their brand of identity-based empowerment poetics to every nook and cranny of the Triangle. The troupe now has nonprofit status and an office on Franklin Street. Their first Touchstone Open Mic of the new year will feature music from The Shy Guys, poetry from G Yamazawa and an open-mic session. The free performance begins at 6:30 p.m.; go early to get a good seat and to sign up. —Chris Vitiello
