Re: “Smoking ban 1, Hookah Bliss 0

I spoke before the state legislature on the issue of Hookahs and why they should have been exempted, and explained it all as clearly as the limited time they gave me allowed. The problem was that there were several special interests groups, my personal favorite being the Christian Alliance (why do hookahs bother them? open a soup kitchen people!), who immediately put additional pressure on legislators to either oppose an exemption or to write the exemption in such a way that it would cripple hookah bars.

I've decided I admire whores. They don't claim to be morally superior or try to control my life, and they're open and honest about what they are. Our politicians on the other hand have all of the negative traits and none of the positive ones.

Re: “No joy at Hookah Bliss as smoking ban looms

You'd think so, but as a friend of Adam and Garret's, I can tell you that the State Legislature listened to what Hookah Bars had to say, and then listened to lobbyists, such as the Christian Actions Committee (what they were doing there I still don't know) and decided they'd vote with the money rather than the morality.

I defy any member of the state legislature to tell me I'm wrong on this. They won't, knowing that I'll point out exactly what was said and be proven right.

Stand behind Adam Bliss. It's not just about Hookah Bars, its about people having the right to choose how to live their lives.
