When: Thu., May 14, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $12-$15
We all know band nerds weren’t really nerds, right? They knew that big brass kicks ass, and it’s taken this long for the rest of us to catch up. Rollicking Brooklyn art-pop group Rubblebucket takes the horn blare down a notch behind lead singer and multi-instrumentalist Kalmia Traver. Their tunes range from danceable brass funk to perky pop ballads, for which Traver wields a flute. —Chris Vitiello
