Rosemary Wells

When: Tue., Nov. 27, 4 p.m. 2012

Appease the screaming children in your house by getting them the signature of Rosemary Wells, creator of the immensely popular book and cartoon series Max and Ruby, about a pair of rabbit siblings. Adorably written and illustrated, it's the sort of thing that entrances those of the preschool set, meaning that Wells' appearance at Quail Ridge will be like a giant moving wall of hyperactivity, especially considering that Max himself will be there ... or a reasonable facsimile in a costume, anyway. Regardless, noise-canceling headphones and one of those Grizzly Man suits are recommended for parental units brave enough to head to the event, which starts at 4 p.m. This is a signing-line ticket event; tickets are provided with a purchase of the latest book in the series, Max and Ruby's Treasure Hunt. —Zack Smith
