Re: “In Wayne County, N.C., Trump’s America Is Angry

This sad that this country has gotten to this point. With the population of Wayne County being over 124,000 people,63%(78,203) are white (2015 est.). The two people interviewed in this article represent .003% of the white population in Wayne County. Only 27,360 voted for Trump (assuming they were all white), that leaves a lot of whites to vote for Clinton, or not vote at all.. The feeling i get from the article and comments is they didn't vote at all. Isn't that the same stereotyping that you all are arguing against. I have lived in Wayne County all of my life, and yes I do know that there are racist in this county, but I also know that there are a lot more that are not. Believe me, being a white male, I will find out quickly who is racist, and who isn't. A racist white man thinks all whites are racist also, so they are comfortable to spew hate. And no I haven't stood up like should in the past, but I have done a lot better. Hate is absolutely taught, I have seen that it is taught from all races and it must stop. It was taught to me. I stopped it, and many others are to. I am one of those uneducated, white boys that this article and the comments are trying to lump all together, and it pisses me off. 60 million people voted for trump in a country of 325 million, 200 million being white. So you all are going to just say the other 140 million are racist to. Is that not hypocritical?
