Re: “Brazil play beautiful football and lose to the Dutch; the conspiracy theories mount

Brazil fans must be very sad people to consider that.

What they actually seemed to miss is that the Dutch have com back at them in 1994 and 1998 (when Brazil was lucky not to get a pentalty against in the laast minute). The Dutch coming back at them was no surpise (allthough the way it happened was).

The Dutch team has players from both Champions League finalists and completly destroyed the Italians and France at the last european championships.
In the fist half Brazil profited from a last minute change in the Dutch defense causing some uncertainty defensivly but in the second half the defense was incontrol again and Brazil did not get a decent pass in because of the dutch defense and pressure on the ball.

The fist goal was cheaply given but at that time it was already evident that the Brazilians were fed up with constant pressure on the ball and were getting agitated. The Dutch continued the defensive pressure relentlessly and allthoug it might not have looked nice it made Brazil suddenly look like a very very ordinary side unable to put any kind of decent attack together.
