Richard Luby Violin Symposium

When: May 20-27 2015
Since 2008, violinists have visited UNC-Chapel Hill for a weeklong focus on the instrument. By day, the Richard Luby Violin Symposium is a school where a formidable guest faculty conducts master classes, workshops and private lessons. In the evenings, students and faculty take the stage for public performances. Ani Kavafian of the Yale School of Music kicks off the week of recitals Wednesday night. She joins the rest of the faculty onstage Thursday night. Students perform Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Check music.unc.edu for a full schedule. —Chris Vitiello
