Richard Kadrey

When: Thu., Aug. 29, 7-8 p.m. 2013
Richard Kadrey's novels are modern pulp fiction in the purest sense of the word, featuring dark humor, tons of ideas and, yes, plenty of fantasy and horror. His best-known work is the Sandman Slim series, about an escapee from hell whose quest for vengeance builds over several novels into a quest to save the universe itself. Kadrey is a prolific writer, with both his new Sandman Slim novel Kill City Blues and an upcoming YA fantasy called Dead Set out this fall. See him in person and marvel at the rune tattoos scarred into his knuckles. Also check out our interview with him on IndyWeek's Artery blog. Zack Smith
