Re: “N.C. Attorney General Roy Cooper must declare election law unconstitutional

I would actually argue it's an even deeper issue as to why Cooper should stay the course to do his job in defending the very act he urged the legislature not to write, and the governor not to sign: the majority party in control of the legislature and the executive administration have contempt for public service and the role of government. If the State Attorney General refused to do the job assigned to him, that would only fuel their stance on how "broken" our government is.
