Brian De Palma is one of those divisive directors. To some, he's a subversive genius; to others, he's a Hitchcock ripoff full of violence and misogyny. Scarface alone can spawn long arguments among cinema buffs. Two of his early films will give you plenty of cause for debate: There's 1980's Dressed to Kill, which touches on Psycho with Michael Caine, Nancy Allen and Angie Dickenson, and 1981's The Fan, in which Broadway star Lauren Bacall is stalked by a psychotic admirer (it had the bad fortune to come out shortly after John Lennon's death, and trailers included a disclaimer that the film was unrelated to the tragedy). Enjoy some blood with your holiday season with this double feature, which screens for $8 starting at 7 p.m. —Zack Smith
