Re: “Hopscotch, Night Two: A picnic

If you've seen Mark Kozelek a few times you know he engages in this kind of banter with the audience all the time and they seem to enjoy it. He's been doing it for decades. Of course, festivals are full of people who have no idea who is on stage and don't care, which is why they are a lousy place to see good music. See him somewhere where the audience isn't 'chatty' (like that's okay?) and reserve your judgments on what a 'sensitive' songwriter is supposed to be and you'd be glad you did.
