Red Hot Chorizo Brothers with Mel Melton & Bill Lyerly

When: Fri., March 15, 9:30 p.m. 2013
Price: $10

Papa Mojo's Roadhouse founder Mel Melton loves to get cooking, whether on stage with his band, the Wicked Mojos, or in the kitchen dicing up bayou favorites. He teams with self-styled American roots rebel Bill Lyerly in the Red Hot Chorizo Brothers. An accomplished songwriter, guitarist and keyboard player, Lyerly has made great honky-tonk, recorded progressive rock and dreamed up his own Chicago/Texas blues and British rock mash-up called "napalm blues." This night marks the inaugural outing of this intriguing pair. —Ashley Melzer
