Reception | Outsiders Art & Collectibles | Arts | Indy Week
This is a past event.

When: Wed., Aug. 21, 5:30-8 p.m. 2013
Join Outsiders proprietor Pamela Gutlon for a reception on the porch this evening. Jake McCord was a self-taught painter from Thomson, Ga., who worked for the city as a groundskeeper for 39 years. He began painting scenes inspired by his church, his surroundings and (we're told) his television watching. He passed away in 2009, but his work will be on view through Sept. 20. There will be music by Matt Phillips & the Philharmonic. In an intriguing addition to the food trucks, there also will be an art truck—Mike's Art Truck, to be precise. —David Fellerath
