Re: “After Two Employees Walked Out, Durham's Guglhupf Attempts to Extricate Itself From HB 2 Backlash

If the restaurant already had THREE single, unisex bathrooms, why did these two employees post those signs? Methinks they were just looking for fifteen minutes of fame. They're probably counting on donations to start pouring in from "supporters". They made a mountain where there wasn't even a molehill. Now they don't have jobs. And by going public with this stupidity, they will probably have trouble finding new work in the near future. Who wants to hire people who act to damage their employer's business, especially when they clearly didn't research the law before taking action. I support the LGBT community, and I think it's awesome the way big companies and celebrities have responded to support the LGBT community. The drawback is that innocent people will suffer by these boycotts. They can thank their legislature for that! But still, what these two employees did was just wrong. I would be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, that they were innocently just trying to do the right thing, but their social media activity makes it look like they knew exactly what they were doing. They acted without authority. They will be lucky if the owner doesn't sue them for damaging her business.
