When: Tue., Nov. 5, 6 p.m. 2013
Conclusion of 12th annual African Diaspora Film Festival, with a screening of Residue: This Ain't No Song & Dance produced by NC filmmaker Charles S Martin. Inspired by the aftermath of the shooting of Trayvon Martin & the exoneration of George Zimmerman, the film examines the notion of "post-racism" in America & current events that reveal 2 opposing Americas, & gets to the core of what no one wants to talk about — race & democracy.
