Quintron and Miss Pussycat, D-Town Brass

When: Wed., Nov. 9, 9 p.m. 2016
Price: $12
Half dance party and half psychedelic puppet-show performance art, the unbridled, unhinged, and wildly creative low-tech swamp boogie of Quintron and Miss Pussycat has few touchstones. The duo’s dance songs are flush with staggering, oddball sonic textures; they’re too silly to be self-conscious, filled with shrill non sequitur shouts, swirling church organ and space-ray bleeps that emanate from homemade gadgets. Keep N’awlins weird, y’all. Durham’s own D-Town Brass opens. —Patrick Wall
