As spectacularly poor as our state's record on gay rights is, at least works by drag performers still have their place in local theater, in this case the play once titled Gadget Goes Psychotic by author Charles Busch. It's the simple tale of Chicklet, who just wants to surf and party but has some concern that she might be murdering people during her blackouts. Ah, youth! Your younguns might have recently watched The Disney Channel's Teen Beach Movie, so if you feel particularly sadistic, you can take them to this and thoroughly warp their brains. Ira David Wood IV directs; dress in beachwear and get a free beer. —Zack Smith
