Professor Diablo's True Revue: Lost & Found

When: Tue., May 28, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $7-10

Imagine taking the best from your podcast list and making it a live performance. Riveting personal storytelling, must-know documentary content and hot music all smelted down onstage at once—that's Professor Diablo's True Revue. Co-presented by the Center for Documentary Studies and the Hinge Literary Center, this first-anniversary episode is called "Lost and Found" and crosses evolutionary biologist Courtney Fitzpatrick's narratives from her study of baboons in Kenya with photographer Leah Sobsey's taxidermy images, all while singer-songwriter Melissa Swingle coaxes haunting vibrato from a saw. Yes, a saw. Artist Jane Marsching's video work will also be screened. —Chris Vitiello
