Re: “The ugly power struggles over 751 South

Mark A.,
Steve B. (The Environmental Messiah) & N. Hunter (now The Hunted) are quite the MASTER DEBATORS wouldn’t you say? So eloquent and dare I say loquacious. I have it on good word that The Environmental Messiah can be seen on occasion walking across Jordan Lake. I have not seen it personally but from hearing his rhetoric I’m sure he could do anything. He abstains from the evils of the world like the mall and other such sinister entities. Wink ….Wink. We can all aspire to be as closed minded, paranoid, & cynical as he when grow up to be big boys. Maybe if he spent as much time on improving the public schools and the crime rate in Durham people would actually come here and stay here. Oh there I go talking crazy again. Oh yes N. Hunter I really tried all weekend to master that disappearance act you spoke of. I just can’t seem to get it down. I keep getting the magic words all wrong. I’ll keep trying though…. you have my word on it.

I'll admit you can give me a lesson on spelling and I'll give you one on sarcasm. Ya know us supporters down here in the Southern part of Durham ain't that bright..... so we've been told.

Re: “The ugly power struggles over 751 South

Oooooh someone is a little sensitive today N.Hunter. Can't put your full name out there ....there's a shocker. Here is an original thought.... you're a putz... oh darn people who read your statement probably already think that so there I go again robbing other's ideas. I'll get back to you with something more creative I'm sure I can think of one or two on on my own if I can just focus. I find it very laughable that just because someone is in favor of the development and calls some questions into light like the opposition does that they are somehow incompetent and ignorant. Persons like you have the lies and fear mongering covered. I'm sure you don't stop by the mall either. I enjoy these personal attacks it means we're getting somewhere. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go make up some more lies to post later.

Steve, It's not been 15 min but 18. My bags still aren't unpacked. You still haven't answered the question, where is all the distain for the Big Box establishmnet that is clearly your nemesis???? I'm sure a WalMart won't add to traffic over there and create pollution from all the cars traveling over there and how are the people from downtown going to get there? Perhaps all that runoff from the huge parking lot won't make it to Jordan Lake either. I bet you won't shop there either?

Re: “The ugly power struggles over 751 South

I am curious as to why the PA is not so adamant against the WALMART more than likely coming into the South Durham neighborhood of Kentington Heights. Isn't this the type of BIG BOX developers you guys claim to abhor?? It must be a pollution free building and not within the watershed? Very intriguing, where are the fancy tee shirts and snazzy signs for this?????? I'm sure you guys who fought also against that Mall sure don't mind catching the latest movie with your sweetie or perhaps stopping on for that last minute Christmas gift, and isn't that cheesecake simply to die for over there??? Pure hypocrisy. You talked about transparency the other evening, how about money you guys have donated to certain Commissioners and oh yeah looks like you are rather chummy with Commissioner Reckow's hubby over the years....NICE. There are several of us (more than 3) who are in favor of this development who actually live next to the land and are not from North Durham or other counties. Look out Henny Penny.. the sky is falling!
PS.. Who did you guys infiltrate in the Chancellor's Ridge HOA so as to get them to sign a protest petition weeks after the stated they would not get directly involved in their March 2010 newsletter which I have if you need to see it. You know... full transparency and all.
