Poetry Reading

When: Fri., Nov. 16, 7 p.m. 2012
Price: $5 (museum admission)

Perhaps this museum should have been named Contemporary Raleigh Art Museum, because CAM Raleigh's been CRAMmed full for a wide variety of events recently. Shuffle poetry readings into the deck for its after-hours Third Friday program this month. The work of Aaron Belz, Deborah H. Doolittle and Jason Miller will jive with the linguistic aspects of the current GirlTalk: Women and Text exhibition.

Belz, recently of St. Louis and currently of Hillsborough, is expecting his third book of poems, Glitter Bomb, out from Persea very soon. Doolittle's on the faculty at Coastal Carolina Community College and has won statewide awards for both of her two chapbooks. Miller, an associate professor at N.C. State, has published poems widely and put out an academic book on Langston Hughes last year. —Chris Vitiello
